Who is Co-Counseling for?
Co-Counseling is for anyone who wants to engage in a peer-to-peer support system to work on personal growth and healing. It is often used by individuals who are interested in self-exploration, interpersonal communication, and emotional well-being.
How is Co-Counseling different than therapy?
Co-Counseling is a peer-to-peer approach to emotional healing and personal growth that emphasizes self-direction and mutual support, whereas therapy is typically led by a trained professional who provides guidance, diagnoses, and treatment. Co-Counseling is based on the idea that individuals have the capacity to heal themselves and each other by sharing emotions and experiences in a safe and non-judgmental environment, while therapy often focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health disorders.

How is co-counseling different than active listening?
Co-Counseling and active listening are both therapeutic techniques that involve listening to another person, but they have some important differences. Co-counseling involves both individuals taking turns being the counselor and the client, and each person is responsible for their own emotional processing. Active listening, on the other hand, is a communication tool that involves giving full attention to the speaker and reflecting back what they have said to show understanding. While both techniques involve listening, Co-Counseling is more focused on personal growth and healing, while active listening can be used in a variety of settings to improve communication and understanding.
